The Lookout Bubble offers a unique experience across all seasons. Winter evenings bring spectacular views of the night sky, with some of the very best stargazing the Reserve has to offer. While The Lookout Bubble is not insulated, our team ensures your home-from-home is well stocked with extra blankets, throws and other comforts including heaters so you can stay cosy in bed and enjoy the stars overhead. As summer brings a warm glow to the Reserve, The Lookout Bubble can heat up under direct sunlight. With the sun shining overhead and your wild neighbours keen to say hello, summer afternoons are perfect for exploring Port Lympne. Visit your favourite species. After a day of exploration, enjoy your private garden as the sun sets and temperatures naturally decline.

Important Information:

  • May - September stays, a Sparkling Safari is included from 4pm-6pm on day of arrival
  • A full valid driving license must be produced upon arrival for use of the golf buggy. Access your golf buggy from check in to check out.
  • Please note, during our Winter Season, Howletts is open 10am-4pm on weekends and school holidays only.
  • A credit or debit card is required upon arrival for pre authorisation of £100 for any room charges throughout your stay
  • Please bring appropriate clothing in case of inclement weather
  • Entrance to both Port Lympne and Howletts Wild Animal Park is only valid for the dates of your stay
  • One Short Breaks Safari experience bookable per night of stay
  • Please pre book any animal experiences and dining reservations in advance to avoid disappointment

SAFARI EXPERIENCE

Your safari will take you on an adventure through our South American, Asian and African Experience zones where you will see spectacled bears, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, camels and more.

All of our short breaks guests have a safari included in the cost of their stay. What’s more, guests can enjoy their stay knowing that they are directly helping conservation, with all profits from the park’s short breaks going back into Port Lympne’s animal conservation charity work in collaboration with The Aspinall Foundation.

EAT & DRINK

Choose from a variety of home cooked dishes, using local produce and ingredients grown in our kitchen gardens at our onsite restaurants and cafes.

The Garden Room - Warm, welcoming family-friendly dining in a peaceful, relaxed setting. Guests will find everything from classic British plates to modern European favourites, all produced using the very best local and seasonal ingredients Kent has to offer.
Babydoll's - Babydoll’s is a relaxed, authentic Italian restaurant with a family-friendly menu created with a focus on the wood-fired oven at the centre of the open kitchen.
Bear Lodge - Bear Lodge is a much-loved family dining destination for Port Lympne’s visitors and neighbours. The relaxed setting, spectacular views and varied menus are certain to delight your entire pride.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate late check-ins for Giraffe Lodges and Giraffe Cottage.
