Entrance to Howletts Wild Animal Park for the duration of your stay (subject to seasonal opening hours). Please note, during Winter Season (20th November - 29th March), Howletts is open 10am - 4pm on weekends and school holidays.

A UNIQUE STAY

Lion Lodge sleeps up to four guests. The ground floor master bedroom includes a king bed, and the mezzanine floor features two single beds - plus a luxury bathroom with a walk-in monsoon shower. Large viewing areas of the lion enclosure in the living spaces make lion lodge a truly unique stay.

Lion Lodge includes all the little luxuries you would expect as well as completely unique amenities such as a living room view of our pride and an outdoor log-fired bath, meaning you can relax, recover, and settle in for an unforgettable break.

With views stretching across the Kent countryside, guests can lounge in their own private garden or unwind in the wood-fired bath, providing the unmissable experience of relaxing next to the Port Lympne pride.

Your lodge includes an open fireplace, bespoke furniture and underfloor heating.

Lion Lodge has been designed with an interior that immerses you in the local countryside while offering an exclusive view of the life of the lion pride.

Exclusive Access

You will have access to Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve during and outside of normal visitor hours from the day of your arrival to the day of your departure.

Admission to Howletts Wild Animal Park is also included in your stay from 9.30am to close on the day of departure. Guests have the use of a private golf buggy for the duration of their stay to explore Port Lympne Reserve (with a valid driving license).

Safari Experience

Your safari will take you on an adventure through our South American, Asian and African Experience zones where you will see spectacled bears, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, camels and more.

All of our short breaks guests have a safari included in the cost of their stay. What’s more, guests can enjoy their stay knowing that they are directly helping conservation, in collaboration with our partner charity, The Aspinall Foundation.

Choose from a variety of home cooked dishes, using local produce and ingredients grown in our kitchen gardens at our onsite restaurants and cafes.

Enjoy gluten friendly pizza and authentic Italian dishes at Babydoll’s Wood Fired Pizza, or bistro style dishes at Port Lympne Hotel Restaurant. Alternatively, relax in the tranquillity of the unique Moroccan Courtyard at (open spring & summer) Port Lympne Hotel, serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

Lion Lodge is partially set within the lion’s habitat, offering unparalleled views of the pride. Guests also have access to their own private gardens overlooking the 600 acre reserve, while being only a short walk through the landscaped terraces to the bar and restaurant at Port Lympne Hotel. Or why not venture further afield on your complimentary buggy and try foods such as authentic Italian cuisine at Babydoll’s- all within the grounds of Port Lympne.
